Introduction to HTML and CSS

A hands-on tour through the basics of HTML and CSS. Attendees will build their own web page from scratch, learning the purpose and usage of many HTML tags. They will then add style to the web page, using basic CSS to change fonts, colors, margins, etc. The goal is for the attendee to have enough information to continue learning on their own - attendees will receive a "hand-out" with notes about all the topics we cover, along with resources on the web to learn more.

This class will be hands-on, you will be editing and displaying web pages on your own computer. If you do not have a laptop, make sure to let me know and I may be able to accomodate you.

I've been building apps on the web for 15 years; I currently work for 410 Labs building I love to help others succeed - whether it's getting started with editing their blog, adding content to their site, or just knowing how the web works!

We help our clients figure out who they are, what they do, why they are in business and how to communicate that message to their customers.

I know already the basics of HTML. What I want to learn is CSS, It is the core programming language used in the World Wide Web together with HTML and JavaScript. HTML was taught to us in High School but I was absent in College when CSS was the topic of our class.
You can see many site that are made of CSS. The website of animaljam is made of HTML and CSS.
